To make sure your eZ Publish site will run smoothly, you need to pay attention when choosing your hosting provider. Of course the most convenient solution is having your own dedicated server, especially when you're hosting having more than one website hosted. There is a couple of dedicated server hosting solutions that go pretty cheaply (under $100/month).
Then there is VPS hosting. These are usually starting on $50/month.
eZ Publish will run on standard hosting services as well, but one will usually run into performance problems, as these services are usually overselling and you'll be short of CPU resources, resulting in poor page compile time.
